Tammi Palpant

Tammi Palpant is a wife and mother of two boys (some would say three including Ed). She teaches 2nd grade at St. David's School (www.sdsw.org) in Raleigh, NC. She enjoys the small class sizes and the high expectations for each student. She is especially excited about learning more in the area of gifted education. Her recent studies in this area at the University of Connecticut have motivated her to begin exploring what a gifted program at St. David's would look like.

She also enjoys taking good care of her family. Tim in high school and Justin in middle school both require much of her time. And with anything left over, she writes curriculum and teaches in the elementary program at Evergreen Community Church in Raleigh. She is on the leadership team of e-kids and also helps lead the entire church with Ed.

Her current interests include quilting, reading, and praying. She is also exploring what she calls the wildflower that God has placed in all of us. So wildflowers can be found in many different settings around her house. Her verse for now..."Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10.
